While many may not realize it, working as a
park ranger in southern Borneo is a dangerous job that requires a lot
more than patrolling the grounds, having rangers protect the park from
illegal loggers, poachers and colonists.
However, when one park
ranger went missing, rumours began to swirl that he suffered a tragic
fate when a hazard of the job caused him to lose his life. The terrible
fate that he was sentenced to? Death by a giant python.
27 year old Digman had
always wanted to work as a park ranger ever since he was a young boy
growing up in a period of massive deforestation during the 90s. However,
two weeks after he was assigned his first post, he mysteriously went
missing.
No one knew what had
happened to him with some speculating that he had given up and gone
home. However, another park ranger named Ledan wasn’t so sure as Digman
had left behind his wallet and all of his clothes.

The began searching for him for came up empty,
finding no traces of him or anything that points to where he vanished
to. Calling the police also wasn’t an option as the police had stopped
investigating the area since one of their officers was killed by an
alligator. If they wanted the police to even investigate, they’d have to
pay them.
Some believed that Digman
had been killed by a gator himself, however, when news came about of a
50 foot python that had be captured, the events that lead to Digman’s
disappearance became a little more clear. The python was extremely
bloated and when inside of it, human remains were discovered.
No one knows for sure
whether the remains found inside belonged to Digman or not as they
weren’t able to test it. However, the family would later give up
searching for him as they grew frustrated by the lack of support from
the authorities. People still speculate about where he ended up but
sadly, it’s unlikely anyone will ever know for sure.
